Take fifteen minutes to yourself and peruse Jean’s images of the built environment.
A Purpose-Driven Gallery
What do you see when you look?
As an author and advisor to architectural firms of all shapes and sizes, noticing the built environment comes naturally to me.
Whether its quirky design or the way light bounces off a window, my eye loves to discover the abstract in the built environment.
According to leadership authors Richard E. Boyatzis and Daniel Goleman, professionals should aim for four periods of renewal during a workday, each lasting fifteen minutes. When work takes us out of the office on a business trip, we can utilize the opportunity to document our experiences.
For me, finding design dualities in my explorations has become something of a ritual between breakneck workdays. This act allows me respite from thinking analytically and triggers my creative mind; which in turn, gives me reason to keep exploring, keep seeing.
These captured snippets sustain my work-life and factor largely into my approach in advising architects, as I use my knack of looking, noticing, and seeing differently to achieve scalable growth for my clients. If you want your firm to be seen differently, Practice Clarity is the partner for you.
